Dispatching

What was one of the first things I learned about dispatching? I was missing out on the good loads. I would get a great load from here to there but still have room on my trailer for additional loads. I would spend time stopping to research ahead of me to try to get a second or third load. Trying to get that backhaul before I even got there was even worse. Well, that changed once my son started dispatching for me. I now double my money. We can help you do the same.

Equipment for Hotshot

Everyone has their own opinion on this. I found having a 1-Ton Dodge has served me best. The type of trailer I prefer are flatbed 40'. The reason I use a 40' is it allows me to haul more. I keep (8) chains and binders, (15) 2" by 30' straps and (4) 4" by 30' straps. You may think this is overkill but I have used most of them on one load. Don't forget your tarps. They are a hassle but I hated passing up good paying loads because I didn't have tarps.

Safely Securing a Load

Coming into this business, I did not know how to safely tie down a load. I started by asking the individuals who loaded the trailer for their input on how they would secure it. Since they handled this type of load every day, I trusted their advice. Believe it or not, they were helpful and informative. I was learning the process and also being safe. Good luck and be safe out there!

Why We Should Work Together

There are a lot of reasons we should work together. Here are a few reasons WHY: 1.) No force dispatch. 2.) No contract to sign. 3.) Either party can call it quits at any time. 4.) Unlike a lot of other dispatchers, I learned the business firsthand as a driver of a Hotshot Rig. 5.) If you’re not earning over $3,000 per week, then call me to discuss. 6.) I will help you so you can be on your own.
